As Staff Engineer (L6) for the Boarding Domain, you will have the autonomy to define the 'how' for the Boarding domain, with a direct seat at the table in shaping our global engineering strategy. Your mission is to design, build, and maintain the robust and scalable systems that enable our partners to seamlessly integrate with our platform. This role is critical to PPRO's strategy by ensuring a smooth and efficient onboarding experience, which directly impacts our ability to attract and retain key partners and expand our global reach.  \n What You Will Be Doing<h3> </h3> <ul> <li> Architect and drive the design and implementation of complex, distributed systems using Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot, ensuring the delivery of highly scalable, resilient microservices within an AWS cloud environment. </li> <li> Code Delivery. Actively write code, ship new features collaboratively with your team, and conduct thorough code reviews. </li> <li> Establish and govern the architectural standards for the Boarding domain, ensuring alignment with PPRO’s long-term global platform evolution. </li> <li> Take ownership of the technical roadmap for the boarding domain, managing the end-to-end integration of K8s services, SQL databases and messaging queues like Kinesis and SQS to optimize partner onboarding. </li> <li> Mentor and lead junior and senior engineers by fostering a culture of technical excellence, providing high-level strategic guidance, and conducting deep-dive code reviews to uphold rigorous engineering standards. </li> <li> Collaborate and partner with product managers and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into innovative fintech solutions, leveraging your expertise to solve mission-critical challenges. </li> <li> Champion delivery and excellence by implementing automated testing, robust CI/CD pipelines, and containerized orchestration via Kubernetes to ensure the continuous improvement and reliability of PPRO’s global platform. </li> </ul> What We Are Looking For<h3> </h3> <ul> <li> Strong hands-on background in Kotlin or Java with Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, RDS, Aurora Serverless, Gradle (or equivalent JVM experience and willingness to pick up Kotlin). </li> <li> Proven experience designing and operating distributed systems in high-volume, SLA-driven production environments, real products with real customers, not greenfield prototypes.(DataDog) </li> <li> Solid grasp of event-driven architecture (Kafka/Kinesis/SNS/SQS), relational data modeling at scale, and API contracts. </li> <li> Comfort with AWS and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Docker, Github Actions). You care about observability, deployability, and on-call health. </li> <li> Experience with global or multi-region products and the operational concerns that come with them. </li> <li> Ability to communicate trade-offs clearly to engineers, PMs, and non-technical stakeholders, and to lead through influence rather than authority. </li> </ul> \nWhat's in it for you?
