About the RoleThe Director of Product Management, 2W is responsible for leading product management for all EV motorcycle software products. You will create and drive the vision for the future EV software platforms which run vehicles built by the #1 motorcycle manufacturer in the world. This role reports to the President of our Tokyo Office.\n What You Will Do<ul><li>Build products that are central to people’s lives, backed by one of the strongest brands on the planet.</li><li>Create the vision and strategy for software products related to EV motorcycles.</li><li>Lead, mentor, and grow the product management teams.</li><li>Oversee the entire product life cycle from conception to launch to growth.</li><li>Work cross-functionally with leaders of hardware and software teams to create industry defining motorcycle products sold globally.</li><li>Occasional international travel to markets our products are sold in.</li></ul> What We Are Looking For<ul><li>7+ years of product management experience in Agile environments, with at least 2 years managing teams of PMs.</li><li>Proven experience leading a department or major function in a fast-growing, complex, or global organization.</li><li>Strong track record of building scalable processes, operating models, and teams, including experience working with large strategic partners or joint ventures (e.g., automotive, mobility, platform, or enterprise ecosystems).</li><li>Track record of successfully launching and growing consumer-facing software products.</li><li>Comfortable operating at executive level while staying close enough to execution to drive outcomes.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to influence without authority across organizational and company boundaries.</li><li>Customer-centric, UX-obsessed, and strategic, with a strong product intuition.</li><li>Flexible, entrepreneurial mindset—willing to do what it takes, even when it’s outside usual responsibility areas.</li><li>Native-level Japanese and fluent English, enabling effective communication and cross-functional collaboration.</li><li>Belief that cars and motorcycles can be 1000× better than they are today.</li></ul> Nice to Have<ul><li>Experience delivering software products that interact with hardware.</li></ul> \nEEOC StatementDrivemode is proud of a very diverse team with employees coming from 5 continents/16 countries as of today.
