How you will make an impact: Coordinating and managing the delivery of both group and local external audits with external auditors, ensuring timely completion. Acting as a key point of contact for auditors and provide supporting documentation and explanations as required Preparing and supporting the submission of financial data required for FCA reporting. Supporting or leading financial reporting aspects of special projects, including mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and other strategic initiatives. Preparing local statutory financial statements for an FCA-regulated UK entity and its branches in accordance with FRS 101. Ensuring financial reporting complies with IFRS and relevant regulatory requirements. Preparing IFRS accounting memoranda covering complex and non-routine accounting matters. Identifying assessing and supporting the implementation of improvements related to control deficiencies identified during internal and external audits. Providing training and guidance to finance teams on IFRS requirements, best practices, and updates to accounting standards. Maintaining close cooperation with business and corporate stakeholders to establish professional and proactive working relationships. Working closely with the Regional Head of Accounting and the accounting team on ad-hoc projects aimed at improving accounting data quality and processes. Providing technical accounting guidance to the wider finance organisation on complex accounting issues and IFRS interpretation.
