Duties & Responsibilities: Prepare and review U.S. individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns (Forms 1040, 1120, 1065, etc.) Advise clients on tax planning, compliance, and structuring matters Represent clients before the IRS in audits, appeals, and collection cases Assist in preparing responses to IRS notices and handling tax controversy matters Ensure timely and accurate filings with adherence to IRS and state-specific guidelines Coordinate with cross-functional teams (e.g., accounting, legal) on tax issues Keep up to date with U.S. tax laws, international tax treaties, and IRS updates Support ITIN application and acceptance agent services (if applicable) Train junior staff or tax associates as needed Must be an Enrolled Agent (EA) with current IRS credentials. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A minimum of 4 years of experience in U.S. tax preparation and consulting. Strong understanding of U.S. tax codes, especially for individuals and small businesses Experience with tax software (e.g., Drake, ProSeries, UltraTax, or similar) Familiarity with FATCA, FBAR, and foreign asset reporting. Knowledge of QuickBooks or other accounting software Solid communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients. Proficient with taxation software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Experience with complex tax issues and strategies is a plus.
