About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use): 05 The Team: S&P Global Market Intelligence is seeking a Product Support Engineer to join the Commercial’ Enterprise team in Hyderabad. The team partners with Datafeed Application Specialists and Sales Teams to provide technical assistance to clients in deployment and troubleshooting the “Enterprise Solutions” and assessing the technical environment dynamics within client sites that may impact product performance. Your position as a Product Support Engineer is critical as it is the link between the end-user and our Enterprise products. Combining an expertise in our products with a deep understanding of who our clients are and how they use our tools, the Product Support Engineer is a consultant providing best and most efficient way for our clients to achieve quality results. You will work with a global Data Feed application Specialists and Sales team responsible for enterprise products like Xpressfeed and API. Grow and improve your skills by working on enterprise level products and new technologies Responsibilities Be a Product specialist for the Distribution Solutions and provide in-depth technical assistance to clients. Assist in deployment and troubleshooting on-the-go. Gain in-depth knowledge of products from a content and delivery standpoint, and assist with pre and post Sales’ opportunities. Help S&P Market Interlligence API clients and deliver best-in-class client experience. Bring new ideas for innovation and automation excellence into the support process and build projects that will help replicate and resolve client issues. Work on creating complex SQL queries (MS SQL and ORACLE) to use our data and assist client with query tuning and performance improvements. Research and gain knowledge on the rapidly evolving product offerings. Assess the technical environment dynamics within the client sites that may impact product performance Involve in testing/user-acceptance tests of New implementations ‘Distribution Solutions’ applications with focus on pending modifications and fixes Maintain the local infrastructure which comprises of Database Servers (Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server) and Virtual Machines. What We’re Looking For: Basic Qualifications: Solid written and verbal communication skills Masters in Finance/ Business Analytics along with Bachelors/Masters’ degree in IT/Computers Good understanding on DBMS concepts. Good knowledge on at least one programming language like C#, Java, .NET, etc., Quick learner and ability to grasp new technologies. Demonstrate troubleshooting, follow-through and problem-solving skills, resourcefulness, attention to detail, and strong communication skills. Ability to keep pace with rapid changes in products. Willing to work in any 5-day shifts and longer night shifts. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge on RDBMS like MS SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL. Good knowledge of financial statements and capital markets.
