Job DescriptionMinor Hotels is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our Brisbane Head Office team on a Part Time 30 hours per week fixed-term contract. This role is responsible for delivering accurate, timely and compliant end-to-end payroll processing across a portfolio of properties, while providing high-level customer service and support to employees and leaders.Reporting to the Group Payroll Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring payroll accuracy, legislative compliance and continuous process improvement within a high-volume, multi-site environment.Responsibilities Include:End-to-end processing of fortnightly payroll across a portfolio of propertiesManaging Workers Compensation payments, Paid Parental Leave (Services Australia), and Child Support obligations (where applicable)Maintaining payroll and leave systems, ensuring accurate employee recordsInterpreting awards, enterprise agreements and contracts, including overtime and shift allowancesProcessing new starters, variations, increases, back pays and termination paymentsCalculating and reconciling annual leave and long service leave accrualsAssisting with month-end reporting, payroll tax, reconciliations and General Ledger balancingPreparing internal and statutory payroll reportingResponding to payroll-related queries from employees and managersSupporting payroll compliance, audits and ad hoc projects as required
