Job DescriptionCivil Service Title- Civil Engineer IIIReports directly to the Deputy Director of the When and Where Unit. Serves as Field Engineer for the Parks and Land Bridges in all boroughs i.e. Citywide;Lead one or more engineering divisions or bureaus; oversee large-scale design and construction projects. Exercise independent judgment in the management and execution of engineering Represent the agency in high-level meetings, negotiations, and public or interagency forums. In addition, candidates must have 6- years of full-time satisfactory experience in chemical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, environmental engineering, mechanical engineering, or plan examining work, at least 2- years of which must have been in an executive, managerial or administrative capacity.2) Preference will be given to candidate who possess a motor vehicle driver’s license valid in the state of New York with no restrictions.
