Job DescriptionJob Description- Senior Engineer (Drainage) Responsibilities: Producing detail designs, concept stage to IFC stage for drainage on Road/Highways, Railways etc.Undertake hydraulic models using a range of modelling software and other tools including spreadsheets.Hydraulic modelling and design of drainage/culvert infrastructure open drainage/ditches/piped networks.Preparation of project specifications, bill of quantities and tender documentation, Data sheets.Drainage master planning.Drainage pumping stations/Tanks.Carry out system performance analysis, development assessment and operational scenario planning using hydraulic models and other tools as required.Prepare report for modelling projects suitable for review and client presentation.Provide input into project activities, including fee estimating and scoping of projects.Work proactively within a team to ensure the production of quality deliverables.Preparation of Specifications, Data sheetsDesired Skills: Can work collaboratively with different team members and across cross-cultural teamsCan work independently and/or under minimum supervisionCommunicate effectively within the team and externally.Mentoring less experienced staffExcellent self-management skills, including working effectively without direct supervision.Excellent Knowledge in both theoretical/practical and software domainsPresenting project details and technical information to colleagues and clientsProficient in Windows 2000 or later, MS Word/Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.Software Proficiencies: Bentley SewerGEMS, Inforworks ICM Ideal candidate should be an experienced user.Autodesk Civil3D/AutoCADQualifications:Graduate in Civil EngineeringPostgraduate in Hydraulics/ Water Resource Engineering or Environmental Engineering preferablyExperience:10-12 years of hands-on experience in detail design for drainage Infrastructure projects in Road, Rail and urban projects.Experience in the design of drainage management and design.Skilled in hydraulic model build, verification and calibration using hydraulic modelling tools.Experience in the design drainage network designs.Knowledge and understanding of international codes and standards.Ability to work well as part of a team or on an individual basis. Good report writing skills.Key skills for Drainage engineersExcellent technical skills.Teamworking skills.Problem-solving skills.Project management skills.Good time management.Commercial awareness.Communication skills.The ability to demonstrate a genuine knowledge and interest of the water industry and environmental issues.
