Job DescriptionAbout The RoleThe Senior Accountant is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting across assigned Egis North America entities. This role leads period-end close, account reconciliations, and financial analysis within the Shared Services team. The Senior Accountant works closely with Payroll, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Accounting to deliver reliable financial data, support audit and tax requirements, and contribute to process consistency across entities.This role is open to candidates located in Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Vancouver, Edmonton and Calgary.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliationsEnsure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processesPrepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysesAssist with preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements for assigned entitiesMaintain and reconcile fixed asset schedules, prepaid accounts, and accrual balancesProcess labor cross charges and intercompany billing as assignedSupport intercompany reconciliations, eliminations, and settlement processesCollaborate with AP, AR, and Payroll teams to ensure end-to-end financial accuracySupport tax filings and compliance requirements by providing schedules and documentation to the Tax teamSupport external and internal audits by preparing schedules, analyses, and documentationProvide guidance and support to accountants and junior team members to ensure accuracy and consistency in financial reportingParticipate in the implementation of Oracle Fusion ERP and related finance system integrationsIdentify and implement opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiencyAssist with ad hoc requests and special projects
