Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Safety Engineer to manage and drive Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) compliance across large-scale construction and industrial projects. The role will be responsible for implementing safety systems, ensuring statutory compliance, conducting audits, and fostering a strong safety culture at project sites.Key ResponsibilitiesImplement, monitor, and continuously improve HSE policies, procedures, and safe work practices across project sites.Ensure compliance with statutory and legal safety requirements as per local, state, and central regulations.Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, JSA/JHA, and recommend mitigation measures.Carry out regular site inspections, safety audits, and toolbox talks; track corrective and preventive actions.Investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; perform root cause analysis and implement corrective measures.Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and client safety teams to ensure safety standards are met.Prepare, maintain, and submit safety reports, MIS, incident registers, and compliance documents.Lead and conduct HSE training programs for employees, contractors, and workmen.Ensure availability and proper use of PPE, firefighting equipment, and emergency response systems.Monitor high-risk activities such as working at height, lifting operations, confined space entry, hot work, etc.Support audits related to ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 / OHSAS where applicable.Required Skills & CompetenciesStrong knowledge of construction & industrial safety standards.Thorough understanding of Indian safety legislation, including Factories Act, BOCW Act, and related rules.Experience in industrial projects (plants, warehouses, infrastructure, EPC projects) is highly preferred.Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.Ability to influence site teams and contractors toward a zero-incident safety culture.Good documentation, reporting, and analytical skills.
