The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Industrial Safety, hands-on experience in implementing safety systems, and recognized certifications such as IOSH and/or NEBOSH.Key ResponsibilitiesSafety Compliance & GovernanceEnsure compliance with national safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of statutory requirements and ensure documentation accuracy (permits, checklists, incident logs, etc.).Incident Prevention & ManagementIdentify potential hazards and implement corrective and preventive actions.Lead incident/accident investigations and prepare reports with root cause analysis.Support emergency response planning and conduct mock drills.Training & AwarenessConduct toolbox talks, safety onboarding, and refresher training for workers and contractors.Promote awareness of safe work practices across all teams.Operational Safety OversightMonitor site activities to ensure adherence to safety protocols (PPE usage, LOTO, safe lifting, confined space, work-at-height, etc.).Coordinate with site supervisors, contractors, and departmental heads for safe execution of work.Review and approve Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Method Statements, and Work Permits.Documentation & ReportingMaintain safety-related documentation, inspection records, training logs, and compliance reports.Prepare periodic safety performance reports for management review.Skills & CompetenciesStrong understanding of industrial safety standards and regulatory frameworks.Experience with hazard identification, risk assessment, and mitigation planning.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to influence workforce behavior and build a strong safety culture.Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
