Job DescriptionA Contract Manager is responsible for overseeing complex contractual arrangements and work packages of varying size and strategic importance. Portfolios may span multiple smaller contracts or single high‑value, highly complex agreements. They lead on meeting all commercial and contractual obligations, ensuring effective governance across the full contract lifecycle. This will include management of commercial staff.To negotiate contract prices and ensure all contract prices can be substantiated and provide value for money to consumersDemonstrable stakeholder engagement and management skills are essential, as is the ability to influence, lead and resolve disputes together with problem solving.Cost and forecast management via regular cost reporting and ensuring change management procedures are adhered to, Payment and expenditure management, Cost estimating.Provide robust post contract commercial management which will support the project goals and objectives including negotiating/agreeing compensation events and ensuring that the core principles of the Commercial Manual are being implemented.Comply with all safety policies and procedures, promote safety and safe working practices both internally and externally to improve safety performance.Support the Procurement and Commercial Manager in providing a world class procurement and commercial service.
