Job DescriptionThis application refers to a Cost Management Talent Pool from which we will be redirecting candidates in to Assistant, Professional and Senior Professional opened roles within our company, mainly focus on the positions based in Colombia.Assisting on feasibility studies and writing procurement reportsEstimating and cost planning to include producing and presenting the final cost planDevelopment of the cost procedures.Tendering and procuring, including managing the pre-qualification stage, producing the tender list, putting the preliminaries together, tender analysis, producing the tender report and compiling the contractual documentsDealing effectively with post contract cost variances and the change control processes, where applicable referring major changes to line managerReview and approve subcontractor proposals, manage contracts, and change requests. Taking personal responsibility for making cost checks and carrying out valuations on larger projects and in all cases ensuring that timely and accurate cost checking and valuation takes placeAnalyze the project budget, monitor expenditure and costs against delivered products and services.Review payment applications, monitor invoicing and ensure payments are in orderReport the progress at regular intervals with the Senior Cost Manager, and manage communications with all stakeholders until project delivery and financial close out, producing monthly post contract cost reports and presenting them to the clientReview monthly reports as presented by Contractor, and present to the Senior Cost Manager and ClientValue engineeringNegotiating and agreeing final accountsInterfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stagesWhere appropriate, leading a cost management team, ensuring that they deliver on all of the above accountabilitiesFinancial management –Utilizing Financial Management Systems to keep track of the ongoing margin levelsProcess improvement –Identifying ways in which internal systems and processes can be improved and referring ideas to the appropriate line managerKnowledge management –Ensuring that key information and learning generated from each commission is input into the Turner & Townsend internal database: share systemized lessons learnedThe job holder is required to carry out all tasks within his/her level of skill and ability.
