Job DescriptionThe Clinical Nurse – GI Endoscopy Interventional Procedures is directly responsible for patient care in the pre-operative area and during endoscopy procedures. The clinical nurse works collaboratively with GI physicians, anesthesiologists and GI procedure technicians to provide optimal patient care. In this role, the nurse will support a variety of advanced GI procedures (ERCP, EUS, POEM, etc.) and gain exposure to a broad patient population treated by the specialty teams that are a part of the Northwestern Memorial Hospital Digestive Health Center.The NMH GI Endoscopy Labs are high-volume, fast-paced procedural areas providing care for both inpatients and outpatients. In this position, the clinical nurse will develop knowledge and skills in areas including but not limited to GI procedures and clinical conditions, devices, supplies, and research.
