Job DescriptionThe Program Manager reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards. The Program Manager, Nursing leads complex planning and implementation of projects and ongoing programs that support the achievement of Northwestern Medicine and the division’s strategic goals.Responsibilities:Apply knowledge of project management (including change management) and leadership principles and tools to develop multi-disciplinary work plans, understand and manage stakeholders, coordinate internal and external resources necessary to execute on plans, develop and implement communication plans, and establish leadership and stakeholder forums to communicate regularly about progress, risks and escalating decisions. This includes providing options and recommendations for mitigation strategies and necessary decisions.Develop and maintain collaborative, productive relationships with clients and team members, proactively linking individuals from multiple disciplines and business units to achieve desired outcomes in the appropriate forums (e.g., work groups, 1:1 meetings, small group meetings, etc.). Create a culture of psychological safety among team members from all disciplines, departments and business units. Support medical directors, operations leadership and staff as appropriate.Make recommendations for and execute on agreed upon process improvement projects that improve efficiency and mitigate departmental or institutional risk using quantitative and/or qualitative data analysis, root cause analysis and/or DMAIC methodology.Summarize information verbally and in writing (e.g., email, PowerPoint, etc.) in different ways for different audiences with the goal of advancing the project with every conversation and meeting.
