This role will evolve alongside the group’s commercial offer, so it is essential that the role holder can accept and manage change. This is not a passive role.Data, insight and reportingProducing first rate commercial analysis which will be clear, concise and insight focused. The role holder will be expected to add to collective responsibility for the entire Commercial Finance team’s analysis and reporting environment, constantly striving for improved quality.Alongside analysis this role will need to support with an element of regular reporting, developing first class reporting solutions and looking for ways to make them more efficient.Influence the Loyalty team – provide balanced challenge to planned activities, timings, determine value for money on promotional spend.Financial modelling – This role will be key to developing robust financial modelling of all planned promotional activity within Loyalty and Sports.Post promotional/investment analysis – Review of activities once they have completed, compare to budget/expectations/KPIs, provide insight and analysis on performance; drivers, summarise lessons learned for future promotions.Work with the Customer Data & Analytics team to understand customer behaviour and how this translates into visit frequency & sales. This in turn will help plan and analyse future promotions.As a team own the reporting on the Digital Engagement Dartboard metric – set targets, prepare monthly pack with insight and analysis to drive performance. Provide recommendations to drive change.Work with BI to improve reporting on the Greene King App & Loyalty – analyse whether the App is driving the intended benefits of increased spend per head, upsells, review of activity at Till versus App to explore options to drive value.Comfortable with both financial and non-financial inputs to draw conclusions.Financial controlResponsibility for production of budgets, forecasts and strategic plans (together “financial plans”) or parts thereof for areas of Greene King’s Commercial offering. This is likely to include collective responsibility for areas of financial plans alongside peers.Take responsibility for key processes such as menu or business case sign off and post investment review, producing relevant governance submissions.BehaviouralDeputise as required for peers or line managers.Have a service centric mindset, prioritising our ultimate and immediate customers.Take responsibility for personal development and collective responsibility for the development of the Commercial Finance team, in particular Analysts.Prioritise workload based on the commercial impact. Constantly review priorities to ensure they align with the business.
