There are also business-specific opportunities available, which may be included in the descriptions below.      Areas of placement may include, but are not limited to: Corporate Legal – Compliance (JD-level): The Global Compliance team at NBCUniversal works with all businesses to provide guidance and to help identify and mitigate risk. The team is responsible for implementing and maintaining policies, procedures, and internal controls, enforcing compliance with Integrity standards, and promoting an ethical culture across the Company. The successful JD-level intern will support the broader Global Compliance team with a special focus on the Consumer Protection Compliance practice, which is responsible for helping all businesses comply with domestic and international consumer protection laws, regulations, and industry standards. The position will report to the Vice President of Consumer Protection Compliance.Corporate Legal – Government Affairs (JD-level): NBCUniversal’s Government Affairs team focuses on regulatory, legislative, and public policy matters related to broadcasting/media/film/streaming issues, including broadcast licensing and media regulations, programming and advertising standards, accessibility, privacy, intellectual property, and content piracy. The Legal Government Affairs intern will support responsibilities including: preparing briefing memos, talking points, comment summaries, and other written materials; attending virtual and in-person hearings, conferences, and events; partnering with team members to determine the impact of federal actions on the organization; developing presentations and other written materials on findings; acting as an internal consultant to the government affairs team.
