Job DescriptionAssystem Energy & Infrastructure are recruiting for a dynamic, self-motivated Manufacturing Engineer to work at our customers site in Derby on a contract basis.The Manufacturing Engineer is to support Product tooling & fixtures supporting the manufacture and delivery of the PlantsRole details: Job title: Manufacturing Engineer Contract length: 12 months Location: Derby  Contract type: PAYE via Umbrella solution Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:                                        Product Safety - Ensure that tooling & fixtures are capable of achieving and sustaining the product design intent, and that procedures and processes are followed so that our products and those of our suppliers conform to their specification. Rigorously raise, investigate and resolve safety related issues.                                            Quality - Works with all functions to reduce risk and drive product Right First Time. Ensure compliance to all relevant company, legislative and technical policies and standards including RRMS, GS3001 and Export Control and Intellectual Property requirements                                            Technical Authority - Ensure application of the tooling & fixture process controls within their area of accountability, with authorisation subject to appropriate delegation.                                             ·Requirements - Identify and develop opportunities for new or improved tooling & fixtures to allow manufacturing processes, digital systems and technologies to meet current or future requirements.  Including the creation of Statement of Requirement (SoRs) for manufacture of tools & fixtures for the external supply chain.                                               Planning - Plan and manage activities including schedule, resources and costs, gaining buy-off and communicating current status to relevant stakeholders. Ensure issues and risks are resolved to meet project timescales.                                                   Develop Capability - Design, introduce, validate and continuously optimise tooling & fixtures associated with both product manufacture and delivery to customer.  Apply Single Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED) principles enabling the optimal work content to be achieved during manufacture and/or across methods of manufacture whilst continuing to meet requirements for safety, quality, cost, delivery rate and lead time. Capture, analyse and use data to demonstrate and improve the current and future capability of tooling & fixtures.                                            .
