Job DescriptionQualifications and Training Requirements:· Minimum education High School diploma. Some secondary or vocational training or equivalent experience desired.· Basic reading and math skills sufficient to allow accurate execution of batch tickets and procedures.· Train as per Churn Room category in Procedure # SAFETY-TRAIN training grid. Retrain every three years in Hazardous Waste Handling.· Review department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with Department Supervisor.Essential Elements:· Work with formulas and department standard operating procedures, be familiar with reading and understanding them; take written or verbal directions from Department Supervisor.· Use hand tools, small power tools, scales, pumps, valves, filters, controls, forklifts and drum handling equipment.· Be able to lift 50 pounds on a repetitive basis without mechanical assistance.· Be able to lift up to 650 pounds with mechanical assistance.· Drawing-off batches according to formula specifications.· Assist in loading and sampling of batches as specified by a formula.· Maintain established quality and quantity standards. Follow prescribed safety precautions, established company policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.· Detect and report improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials, and questionable conditions to Department Supervisor. Maintain work area(s) and equipment in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.· Maintain daily production and formulation records as required.· Perform other related duties as required.
