Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician, Level 1 to join the Facilities Department. At Eataly, this position is referred to as a Facilities Technician. The Facilities Technician serves as the point of contact for the assigned shifts and takes the necessary actions to ensure that all facilities are in proper working order. Reports to the Area Facilities Manager.Performs assigned day-to-day preventive maintenance and on-demand requests from Department ManagersCompletes appropriate maintenance records in an accurately and timely mannerPerforms assigned daily inspections and building roundsAssists with troubleshooting and basic repairs of buildings and installed systems, including plumbing, kitchen equipment, refrigeration, drains, and HVACAssists with maintaining lighting systems throughout the facility, maintaining fixtures, and replacing bulbs and lampsObserves how to use electrical schematics and blueprints to troubleshoot and correct problemsPerforms manual labor tasks such as loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materialsUnderstands and follows manuals, and reads and interprets circuit diagrams, blueprints, and schematicsProvides excellent customer service and respond quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed with ability to know when to escalateObserves and adheres to safety and health rules by following proper LOTO, PPE, ergonomics, working at heights and machine guardingComplies with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to building operations and work safetyOther duties as assigned
