Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Architect to join our team. This role involves designing and documenting end-to-end solutions for data integrations, major enhancements, and complex data products, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices. The Data Architect will also contribute to the technical roadmap, define and enforce data engineering standards, and serve as the final technical approver for significant code changes and architectural modifications.Main Tasks:1) Strategic & Technical Leadership (Enhance)Solution Architecture: Design and document end-to-end solutions for new data integrations, major enhancements, and complex data products, ensuring they adhere to architectural standards and best practices.Technical Roadmap: Contribute to the technical roadmap for the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), identifying opportunities for refactoring, performance optimization, and the adoption of new technologies or patterns to improve service reliability.Pattern & Standard Setting: Define and enforce data engineering and development standards across the program, including coding conventions, CI/CD practices, and data quality frameworks.Technical Review: Serve as the final technical approver for all significant code changes, pull requests, and architectural modifications, ensuring quality and consistency.2) Service Reliability & Operations (Operate)Technical Escalation: Act as the highest point of technical escalation for critical P1/P2 incidents and complex, recurring problems that the engineering teams are unable to resolve.Expert-Level Triage: Lead the technical investigation during major outages, performing deep-dive analysis across the entire data stack (from source systems to BI reports) to identify root causes.Problem Management: Drive the technical resolution for systemic issues identified through Problem Management, designing long-term fixes to prevent recurrence.3) Mentorship & GovernanceTeam Upskilling: Actively mentor Data Engineers and Data Visualization Engineers, providing technical guidance, conducting code reviews, and fostering a culture of technical excellence.Knowledge Centralization: Champion the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, ensuring critical knowledge is captured and shared effectively across the team.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with client architects, source system owners, and other vendor teams to resolve cross-platform dependencies and ensure end-to-end data flow integrity.
