Job DescriptionThis position is responsible for all activities related to the preparation of media and reagent preparationGeneral Tasks & Responsibilities:Understand and follow Quality System documents relevant to responsibilities, e.g., Quality Manual, SOPs, and Methods.Adhere to appropriate quality measures to meet or exceed current GMP standards, government regulatory, and company requirements relevant to assigned duties.Maintaining a neat and accurate record system of work performed on a daily basis and as needed for quality control tests or regulatory purposes.Perform daily calibration of balances, purified water system and pH meters in the BPT LabWeekly testing of purified water systemMedia preparation (including but not limited to)Careful and accurate preparation and documentation of media preparationInventory management of media and reagent components (organized storage, maintaining inventory levels and discard of expired items)Inventory management of prepared or purchased pre-made media (organized storage, maintaining inventory levels and discard of expired items)QC of all media used at the Eurofins locationCleaning and decontamination labwareAutoclaving and disposal of garbageAutoclaving of glassware and other tools as neededDisposal of Laboratory retention samplesQuality control procedures.Perform other related duties as assigned.Technical Skills:Good computer skills - proficiency with MS Office;Working knowledge of Laboratory Information management Systems (LIMS).GMP documentationHandling of bacterial cultures in a BSL 2 laboratoryWeighing, pipetting, streaking, pour plating and other standard microbiology techniques
