You are comfortable working with Node.js and Python, and you have experience developing APIs, handling real-world integrations, and contributing to systems where performance and reliability matter.You are proactive, detail-oriented, and take ownership of the solutions you deliver. You are also comfortable working in environments where AI is part of the development ecosystem, using it as a tool to improve how you build, troubleshoot, and document backend services.You Bring to Applaudo the Following Competencies:Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).4+ years of experience in backend development.Strong experience with Node.js (NestJS or similar frameworks).Practical experience with Python (FastAPI or similar frameworks).Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices.Solid understanding of backend security, authentication, and SSL.Functional knowledge of cloud environments (Azure preferred).Experience debugging and resolving issues in non-production environments.Familiarity with testing practices, version control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.Strong sense of ownership and responsibility for delivered solutions.Experience working with data processing or integrations is a plus.Exposure to AI-assisted development tools is a plus.Advanced English proficiency is required, as you will work directly with US-based clients.You Will Be Accountable for the Following Responsibilities:Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js and Python.Design and implement RESTful APIs aligned with business requirements.Build and maintain business logic ensuring performance and reliability.Integrate backend services with internal and external systems.Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices.Troubleshoot and resolve issues in non-production environments.Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure proper integration.Work with QA teams to support testing and defect resolution.Participate in agile ceremonies and team discussions.Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.Contribute to continuous improvement of backend practices and processes
