Job DescriptionJob DescriptionAs our new Electrical Resident Engineer, you will engage in various levels of complexity construction-related projects which will require the application of standard construction techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related construction/engineering tasks. You must be capable of collaborating and making evaluations and interpretations, exercising independent judgment selecting and applying standard engineering/construction techniques, procedures, and criteria to make design adaptations and modifications.Your key responsibilities will include:Utilizing knowledge acquired through engineering or construction management degree to analyze the engineering concepts of a project. Ensuring that the technical components meet the engineering requirements of the contract documents.Overseeing construction personnel to ensure construction procedures, methods and materials follow those specified in the contract documents. Directing Construction Superintendents, Project Managers, Foreman, etc. to comply with contract documents and report non-conformances throughout the duration of a project.Reviewing design criteria, specifications, drawings, submittals, RFI responses, change management, and other pertinent documentation. Assisting in coordination and constructability review of design phase submittals.Performing engineering calculations throughout the duration of the project to determine such requirements as pump performance, concrete mechanics, pipeline hydraulics, and electrical adequacy.Assisting Design Engineer in developing conceptual change management modifications and scope.Preparing cash flow calculations from a critical path schedule and schedule of values for the project owner to budget total project cost. Observing and monitoring contractor progress and scheduled completion through daily reporting and digital photo documentation.  Reviewing contractor payment request estimates for accuracy.Assisting in commissioning activities for equipment and electrical systems. Overseeing site specific commissioning plans and developing/maintaining logs and checklists. Witnessing and documenting performance and startup testing.
