Job DescriptionCurrently seeking a Substitute Teaching Assistant for Francis of Paola ELC in Williamsburg.Address: 201 Conselyea Street Brooklyn NY 11211Role Description:Part Time/Per Diem | Monday-Friday (as needed)Hours (range): 8:30AM-2:00PM10 month calendar with 30 day summer sessionUnder the direction of Teacher, follow daily activity schedule/lesson plans and implement students’ objectives as indicated in Individual Education Plans.Provide direct care services to students individually and in groups as needed, including toileting, dressing and feeding in an instructional manner so as to provide basis of future independent student action.Participate in arrival and dismissal of students as needed.Participate in activities outside classroom when necessary (e.g. playground, field trips, gym etc.), supervising students by playing with them, being aware of their safety needs and teaching them skills under teacher’s direction.Be familiar with students’ disabling conditions and their impact on performance.
