Job DescriptionAs Planning Manager you will proactively lead and manage the Local Planning Team, delivering a transport plan that effectively deploys the company’s transport assets. With remedial action put into place should it be neededBriefing planning teams with all relevant information from UK Transport conference callsProvide leadership and guidance to the planning team and individual planners by:Liaising with Team Leaders in relation to WTD, time lapse reports and restricted parking.Analysing all WTD information for the team’s resource pool. Discussing all excess hours with individual planners and inform Operations of all intended actions (COP 109)Ensuring that the agency / casual tracker is up to date with any manpower used for the previous shiftControlling the management of absence and holidays for the teamEnsuring critical information is flowing by updating the intranet / notice-boardsEnsuring that all training needs are met for the planners and the Team Leaders (including inductions, re-training, GTS, ISOTRAK)Delivering improved organisation capability through the Appraisal and 1-1 process.
