Job DescriptionOur Minworth site are now recruiting for a Transport Coordinator to join their friendly team on a full time permanent basis.Salary: £32,000 per annum.Working hours: 4 on 4 off, 6am-6pm. The purpose of a Transport Coordinator is to effectively plan driver and vehicle resources to achieve delivery/collection times, whilst optimising resources and adhering to WTD and driver’s hours’ legislation.Key Duties of a Transport Coordinator:Creating and updating daily run summary in order to achieve delivery and collection deadlines.Ensuring that service levels are achieved and maintained, in conjunction with other departments.Using the Driver rota, planning runs according to shift pattern and available hours, taking into account holidays and sickness.Ensuring legal compliance regarding any defects, services, MOT’s, etc.Maintaining clear and effective communication with drivers; communicating accurate start times, load information, directions, additional shifts, etc.Ensuring adherence to all statutory and legal requirements, as well as all health and safety/safe systems of work policies.Assisting with disciplinary hearings, return to work meetings, substance misuse procedures, etc in order to maintain standards and ensure that employees work at an appropriate level.
