In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming environment and efficient patient registration process. Key Responsibilities: Greet patients and visitors warmly in person and over the phone, responding to or directing inquiries as needed. Register patients accurately and efficiently using medical practice management systems. Verify patient insurance eligibility and coverage using facility medical necessity tools and communicate any required prior authorizations to the billing department. Schedule and reschedule patient appointments, including follow-up calls for no-shows, while optimizing appointment utilization. Collect patient co-pays and balances upon check-in and check-out, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with privacy standards. Maintain a clean and organized reception area to promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere. Assist in emergency situations by responding promptly and appropriately to patients in distress. Update patient records and insurance information accurately in the electronic medical records system. Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure seamless patient flow and communication. Perform other administrative duties and tasks as assigned by the Practice Manager or Area Practice Manager. Job Type: Full-time High School Diploma required; Associate's Degree preferred. Minimum of 1 year experience in customer service, preferably within a healthcare or medical office setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to provide exceptional patient service. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and practice management systems preferred. Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Professional and courteous demeanor with strong organizational skills.
