Responsibilities Supervise construction site activities and ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes. Ensuring that all site records are prepared on time and submitted as required; Assist in preparing progress reports for construction works. Review drawings issued to site. Make any necessary changes to the design drawings as per the site conditions following approval from Construction Manager. Develop geometric design from the survey results using AutoCAD, Civil CAD and/or other appropriate programmes; Supervise foreman, skilled and unskilled labour on site, ensuring that the works meet the highest standards expected by Tatu City. Ensure all personnel comply with health and safety practices, such as wearing the appropriate protective equipment. Identify potential safety hazards and manage them accordingly. Prepare work and resource schedule and ensure that the site team and/or subcontractors comply with the work plans and complete the work within the specified time frame; Ensure all works, undertaken by the site team and/or subcontractor, are of good quality, as per specifications and with approved quality materials; Assess, evaluate and report daily performance of resources including labour and equipment. Provide clear written and verbal instructions to site team and/or subcontractor, and effectively and quickly resolve any project-related problems or issues causing delay; Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction and escalate issues to Construction Manager when necessary. A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering/building and Construction or related field of study plus 7 years relevant site work experience in supervision of Civil Works. Or Diploma in Civil Engineering/Building and Construction or related field of plus 10 years relevant site work experience in supervision of Civil Works. Computer literacy and familiarity with standards Microsoft office application including MS Project and Engineering computer applications, for example AUTOCAD. Good understanding of specifications and methodologies for Civil Engineering Works. Excellent planning and organizational skills. Proven track record in running projects with multi-disciplinary teams.
