Position Overview We are seeking an  Experienced Diesel Technician  at our busy travel center location in Houston, TX 77013. In this hands-on role, you will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair heavy-duty trucks and trailers with accuracy and efficiency. You’ll play a key part in exceeding customer expectations and returning every driver to the road better than when they arrived.This is a great opportunity for a skilled diesel tech who enjoys a fast-paced setting, takes pride in quality workmanship, and wants to be part of a supportive team that values safety and great service. Starting Pay: $25+/hour + commission (based on experience and productivity) What You’ll Do Provide accurate, efficient diagnostic and repair services on heavy-duty trucks and trailers in a professional and accommodating manner. Work in a fun, trusting environment focused on delivering exceptional customer service where expectations are consistently exceeded. Leverage extensive knowledge of the products we sell and the services we provide. Diagnose wear conditions and, together with the Truck Service Advisor or Manager, make clear recommendations to customers. Complete repairs within your capabilities and as written on the work order. Understand and follow Truck Service Standard Services as well as specialized customer programs. Strictly follow all safety guidelines and promptly report any potentially unsafe situations caused by team members or customers. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while upholding high standards of quality and professionalism. Qualifications 2+ years of hands-on experience as a Diesel Technician or Heavy-Duty Mechanic (travel center, truck dealership, or fleet shop experience preferred). Strong diagnostic and repair skills on heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and related systems. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment. Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and excellent customer service. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL preferred but not required. ASE certifications, manufacturer training, or other technical credentials are a strong plus.
