Scheduled Hours 40 Position Summary Under general supervision of the Zone Manager, the Basic Mechanic performs basic multi-craft maintenance, operation, and repair of commercial/academic and multi-tenant building systems. Utilizes materials, supplies, tools and other University property in a safe, productive manner. Performs other duties as assigned. Working Conditions: Job Location/Working Conditions Must be willing to provide one’s own hand tools. Ability to travel to various on- and off-campus locations. Physical Effort Capable of doing extensive walking, climbing stairs/ladders, lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs. and other similar physical activity. Equipment Simple hand tools.
