Education/training PREFERRED: N/A Independent action(s) required: May function independently under protocols approved by VCUHS Medical Director and hospital and departmental policy/procedure. Functions under direction of a licensed independent practitioner in providing patient care, emotional support, and problem solving; all in accordance with hospital and unit policy/procedure. Functions under departmental Standards of Practice (SOP) in the communications room and in the role of patient transport in collaboration with RN and Physician colleagues. Job duties may include the handling, transportation, access to and/or contact with medications and related supplies. Supervisory responsibilities (if applicable): N/A Additional position requirements: Works all three shifts, weekends and holidays. Individual shift rotation and schedules will be established with your manager. Schedules, including requirements of shift rotations and hours of work may be adjusted as necessary to meet unit requirements and/or as needed.
