The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) is primarily responsible for the delivery of Physical Therapy care to the patient population to which she/he is assigned and the recording of that care in the hospital medical record. Ordering equipment. Representing department at rounds and discharge conferences. Scheduling and charging patients. Supervisory responsibilities (if applicable): Employee may have supervisory responsibilities of Rehab Technicians, students, and volunteers. Employee is a member of a self-directed team and applies his knowledge and experience in daily clinic problem solving. The team will bring unresolved issues to departmental manager for assistance and guidance in their resolution. Additional position requirements: Employee is expected to share in weekend and holiday schedule expectations of the department or have a fluctuation of daily work hours from 8 AM to 7 PM based on patient population/clinic needs.
