About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use): 12 The Team: Within S&P Global Market Intelligence, the Credit Solutions team partners with Sales, Product, and internal enablement functions to help clients in the Middle East & Africa embed best-practice credit and risk workflows. The Senior Credit Product Specialist acts as a trusted credit subject-matter expert across the client lifecycle—working cross-functionally, prioritizing effectively, and taking accountability for delivering high-quality outcomes under general direction. The Impact: You will help clients make better, faster credit decisions by translating complex credit risk requirements into scalable workflows using S&P Global Market Intelligence credit capabilities (e.g., quantitative models, expert-judgment scorecards, AI-enabled assessment automation, and S&P Global Ratings research). By actively listening, clarifying technical concepts for different audiences, and collaborating across teams with competing priorities, you will improve adoption, retention, and revenue outcomes while maintaining quality and consistency in delivery. Responsibilities: Provide subject matter expertise in credit solutions throughout all stages of the sales cycle. Support clients with complex requests and deliver comprehensive solutions training. Partner with Sales Specialists and Product Managers to scope, design, and deliver end-to-end credit workflow solutions (pre-sales through implementation), aligning activity to commercial and product strategy for the Middle East & Africa. Actively manage deliverables across multiple workstreams—prioritizing high-impact tasks, escalating risks early, and taking accountability for agreed outcomes and timelines. Collaborate across functional teams (e.g., Product Management, Education, Legal, Marketing) as a credit product expert. Develop and execute campaigns and initiatives to drive revenue growth and contribute to client retention efforts. Maintain strong engagement with strategic credit customers. Lead Proof of Concept initiatives, support RFP processes, and manage test cases for regulatory requirements like IFRS 9. Design and deliver credit product training internally; contribute to thought leadership (blogs/white papers) and represent S&P Global Market Intelligence at conferences and webinars. Communicate complex credit concepts clearly—adapting your style for credit risk, model governance, finance, and commercial stakeholders—and ensure shared understanding through crisp documentation and follow-through. All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week. What We’re Looking For: Basic Required Qualifications: Master’s degree. An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have 7+ years relevant industry experience, e.g., in credit and risk management, professional services, solution providers. English and Arabic (mandatory). Strong understanding of credit risk management and credit risk modelling concepts, with the ability to explain methodologies and outputs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to manage priorities across multiple stakeholders, deliver reliably under general direction, and take accountability for outcomes and quality. Additional Preferred Qualifications CFA/FRM Charterholder or PhD. Experience in credit risk modeling. Experience supporting enterprise credit workflows across one or more segments (Corporates, Commercial & Investment Banking, Insurance, Investment Management), including rated and unrated counterparties. Comfort operating in varied and non-routine situations—using analysis, prior experience, and curiosity to recommend practical options and drive resolution.
