Success in this role requires strong hands‑on basic laboratory skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to operate in close collaboration with colleagues. The Laboratory Support technician plays a critical role in facilitating scientific research, by actively maintaining a clean and safe workplace, by monitoring and managing inventory of lab supplies and consumables, and by supporting scientists through the preparation of materials . This position plays a central role in ensuring efficient, reliable, and continuous laboratory operations.  This role also involves interaction with teams other than R&D, like Application research and Facility support staff.   Where You’ll Make a Difference Lab maintenance - Perform routine cleaning, decontamination and sterilization of work areas, glassware and equipment, Lab safety – Ensure the safe disposal of biohazardous or chemical waste according to safety SOPs Manage inventory of laboratory supplies, reagents, and consumables - track stock levels using warehouse management software tools Support consumables & supply by placing orders Support lab activities by preparing fresh buffers, media, or reagents necessary for experiments Receive, sort, and document delivered samples in compliance with protocols, and arrange international shipments of R&D samples and products What Makes You the Right Fit Graduated from MLO (Middelbaar Laboratorium Onderwijs) or comparable level of education, with 1-4 years of laboratory support experience Familiarity with standard lab equipment (e.g. autoclaves, balances, centrifuges, pipets) Solid understanding of (bio)safety regulations, and hazardous waste disposal procedures Computer Skills: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) Strong teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills Intermediate proficiency in both written and spoken English How You Would Stand Out Experience in a ML1 and ML2 biosafety level lab environment Intermediate proficiency in both written and spoken English We are a global leader in taste, scent, and nutrition, offering our customers a broader range of natural solutions and accelerating our growth strategy.
