Job Description Summary Join GE HealthCare and Make a Difference! At GE HealthCare, we're all about improving lives with our cutting-edge medical technology and digital solutions. We're looking for passionate individuals to join our Team and help us create a healthier world. Please note: We are unable to provide work permit or visa sponsorship for this position. This is an entry-level apprenticeship/ early-career role for individuals at the start of their professional careers, offered on a 12–18 month fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension. It focuses on learning, skill development, and hands on experience within a structured, supportive design environment. The role is best suited for students, recent graduates, or early career starters looking to build strong technical and workplace foundations through close guidance. It should be viewed as a learning focused entry point, not a senior or expert level design role. Job Description This role is a good fit if you: Are early in your career and eager to take on real responsibility Learn quickly and want to build skills through hands‑on delivery Are comfortable working on structured, detail‑driven tasks while expanding your scope Are motivated by rapid development and growing your impact over time This role may not be a good fit if you: Are seeking full autonomy or expert‑level responsibility from day one Prefer loosely defined work over clear processes and standards Are not interested in building a strong foundation before broadening responsibilities What You'll Do: Create Installation Drawings: You’ll be responsible for preparing site installation drawings for Diagnostic Medical Equipment (CT, MRI, X-RAY, etc.) using Autodesk AutoCAD, focusing on one equipment family. These drawings help our customers in several important ways: 1. They show how the equipment fits into the room—so customers can plan the space correctly. 2. They help customers understand what they’re buying—by showing the size, layout, and how everything connects. 3. They guide the installation team—so they know exactly where and how to install the equipment safely and correctly. By doing this well, you make sure the equipment works properly, fits the space, and meets the customer’s expectations.   Communicate Effectively: Collaboration is key—you’ll work closely with fellow Designers, senior colleagues, and Installation Project Managers to find optimal equipment positioning and resolve issues smoothly.   Support Global Customers: You’ll be part of a dynamic team of 25+ professionals, supporting customers across 100+ countries in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. You won’t be alone—our regular training sessions are here to help you grow, stay confident, and feel supported every step of the way. What You Need: AutoCAD Skills: Experience with Autodesk AutoCAD (or similar software) for 2D drawings. English Proficiency: Fluent in English. Drawing Interpretation: Ability to read architectural and structural drawings. Attention to Detail: Strong focus on detail and administrative tasks. Communication Skills: Good at communicating and solving problems. Teamwork and Independence: Able to work both independently and as part of a team. Time Management: Good at managing your time, especially under tight deadlines. Nice to Have: Customer Service Experience: Previous experience in customer service. Language Skills: Additional language skills are a plus. Relevant Education: A university diploma in a related field. Why GE HealthCare? Inclusion and Diversity: We are an Equal Opportunity Employer. We value diversity and make employment decisions without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, veteran status, or other protected characteristics.   Our Values: We believe in acting with humility, building trust, leading with transparency, delivering with focus, and driving ownership with integrity.   Rewards and Benefits: We offer competitive salaries and benefits designed to help you achieve your ambitions. You'll have access to career opportunities in a supportive and collaborative culture.   Why Design Center? We’re design spaces for Diagnostic equipment to help save lives. We design with patients and users in mind. Our work impacts patient care, safety and hospital workflows. Our work is not on the front line, but our work puts the front line in the best position to succeed. We’re an essential part of the healing process. Growth Opportunities Start as an Apprentice Designer , gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to real-world projects. As you develop your skills and demonstrate excellence, you’ll have the opportunity to become a multimodality designer , and from there, progress into specialized or leadership roles within our organization. We believe in growing talent from within and are committed to helping you build a meaningful, long-term career. #Hybrid #LI-BJ1 Additional Information Relocation Assistance Provided: No
