Job Description Summary Job Description The Systems Engineering Team of GE HealthCare Austria is responsible for image quality optimizations, development of acoustic simulation systems, performing measurements in a certified laboratory, integrating new ultrasound probe in our ultrasound console and future platform developments of our high-end medical ultrasound products. In this position, you will be responsible for optimizations of new ultrasound technology. Responsibilities: Collaborate closely with the Engineering team Conduct performance measurements along the processing pipeline of an ultrasound system Analyze measurement data to evaluate key performance metrics and derive actionable conclusions Document findings and analyses clearly to support further project development and decision-making Your Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Medical Engineering, or a related field Comfortable working with Windows operating systems and common software tools (e.g., PowerPoint, development environments/IDEs) Basic programming experience in C, C++, Python, or MATLAB Basic understanding of commonly used technical concepts and terms (e.g. digital and analog signals, signal frequency, filters, transmitters & receivers, ...) Fluency in German and English Duration: 3-4 months Internship compensation is determined in accordance with the collective agreement for the electrical and electronics industry and varies depending on the student’s grade level and assigned duties.
