This position focuses on delivering practical instruction on waste reduction, process efficiency, and operational excellence using tools such as Kaizen, 5S, and Six Sigma concepts. Manufacturing Assistance Instructor trains a broad audience including technicians, managers and executives in a variety of manufacturing, commercial, and government organizations through courses which focus on strategies and techniques to assist companies and organizations to improve their performance. The Manufacturing Assistance Instructor will use their knowledge of adult learning theories and learning styles to maximize learner success and ensure overall effectiveness of the course instruction. The Manufacturing Assistance Instructor uses a variety of media to present course materials and is responsible for assisting in curriculum development projects to maintain course relevance and support customer needs. Assists in scheduling training deliveries, coordinates participant registration and logistics, compiles data, and ensures quality control measures are met. This position will be responsible for establishing and maintaining excellent relationships with customers and internal support personnel. This position is located in Brownsville, Texas and reports to the Project Manager - TRAIN Project. Qualifications of the Role Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, manufacturing, or applicable field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Five years of hands-on lean manufacturing experience. One year of experience in adult education and/or training of lean manufacturing tools. Must have a valid motor vehicle operator’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment. Equivalency: Will consider an Associate’s Degree with seven years of hands-on lean manufacturing experience OR a High School Diploma/GED with nine years of hands-on lean manufacturing experience.
