Someone who is fluent in the open source ecosystem, obsessed with developer experience, and who gets genuinely annoyed by problems that shouldn't exist.</div> <div> </div> <div><strong>What you'll build</strong></div> <div>You'll own the design and development of Saviynt's internal cloud cost platform — a system that gives engineering and finance teams real, actionable visibility into cloud spend across a complex, multi-cloud environment.</div> <ul> <li><strong>Automation:</strong></li> </ul> <div>Building pipelines, automating cost monitoring and reporting, and developing tools to proactively manage cloud spend.</div> <div> </div> <ul> <li><strong>Cloud Cost monitoring and reporting:</strong> </li> </ul> <div>Build FinOps capabilities, including cost visibility, forecasting, dashboards, and actionable reportin.</div> <div> </div> <ul> <li><strong>Cloud Cost Optimization:</strong></li> </ul> <div>Perform infra cost optimization operational work such as infra rightsizing, decommission of unused cloud resources such as servers, databases and other cloud resources and cleanups as needed</div> <div> </div> <ul> <li><strong>AWS Cost Management Tools:</strong></li> </ul> <div>Utilize and configure cloud cost management tools, such as AWS Cost Explorer, Azure cost explorer, Cloudhealth etc, to monitor, track, and manage costs effectively.</div> <div> </div> <ul> <li> <strong>Stay Updated on AWS Cost Management:</strong></li> </ul> <div>Stay abreast of the latest AWS cost management tools, features, and best practices. Assist team in evaluating and recommend new cost optimization strategies and technologies</div> <div> </div> <ul> <li> <strong>Collaboration:</strong></li> </ul> <div>Collaborate with Engineering and cloud teams to implement cost optimization recommendations and best practices</div><p><br></p><b>WHAT YOU BRING</b><div> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Strong backend engineering in Python or Go (Go preferred for performance-sensitive services)</li> <li>Hands-on experience with Kubernetes — not just deploying apps, but understanding resource requests, limits, node pools, and cost implications</li> <li>Solid cloud fundamentals across AWS (required), GCP or Azure (a plus) — billing APIs, tagging strategies, cost allocation</li> <li>Experience with observability stacks: Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry</li> <li>Comfort with data pipelines — ingesting, normalizing, and storing time-series cost data at scale (ClickHouse, TimescaleDB, or similar)</li> <li>Familiarity with FinOps principles and tools like OpenCost, Infracost, or CloudHealth is a strong plus</li> <li>Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform</li> </ul> </div><p><br></p><p></p>\n<p><b>If required for this role, you will:</b></p><p>- Complete security & privacy literacy and awareness training during onboarding and annually thereafter</p><p>- Review (initially and annually thereafter), understand, and adhere to Information Security/Privacy Policies and Procedures such as (but not limited to):</p><p><br></p><p> > Data Classification, Retention & Handling Policy</p><p> > Incident Response Policy/Procedures</p><p> > Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Policy/Procedures</p><p> > Mobile Device Policy</p><p> > Account Management Policy</p><p> > Access Control Policy</p><p> > Personnel Security Policy</p><p> > Privacy Policy</p><p><br></p><p><span style="font-size: 13pt">Saviynt is an amazing place to work.
