The Purchasing Manager will lead purchasing operations, vendor management, and system-driven workflows to improve efficiency, transparency, and financial visibility across departments. \n Essential Job Functions<div> <ul> <li>Lead and oversee daily purchasing operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with organizational policies.</li> <li>Manage the transition and ongoing use of Sage Intacct for purchasing workflows, including requisitions, approvals, purchase orders, and vendor payments.</li> <li>Ensure all purchasing activities are centralized, standardized, and properly documented within the system.</li> <li>Partner with Finance to align purchasing data with financial reporting, budgeting, and P&L tracking.</li> <li>Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors to secure quality goods and services at competitive pricing.</li> <li>Maintain strong vendor relationships and monitor performance, pricing, and contract compliance.</li> <li>Identify opportunities for cost savings, contract optimization, and group purchasing strategies.</li> <li>Partner with clinical and operational teams to forecast purchasing needs and maintain appropriate inventory levels.</li> <li>Ensure alignment between purchasing, inventory management, and operational demand across sites.</li> <li>Support coordination across departments (clinical, facilities, administration) to ensure timely procurement.</li> <li>Develop and maintain purchasing dashboards and reports within Sage Intacct and Excel.</li> <li>Monitor key metrics such as spend trends, vendor performance, and purchasing cycle times.</li> <li>Provide insights to Finance and leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.</li> <li>Identify and implement process improvements to enhance purchasing efficiency and internal controls.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with organizational policies, audit requirements, and regulatory standards (including 340B where applicable).</li> <li>Support documentation and standardization of purchasing procedures.</li> <li>Manage purchasing staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and development.</li> <li>Assign and monitor workloads to ensure timely and accurate processing of purchasing activities.</li> <li>Foster a collaborative and accountable team environment.</li> </ul> </div> General Agency/AHS Duties<div> <ul> <li>Promote teamwork, confidentiality, and compliance with HIPAA standards.</li> <li>Participate in agency-wide quality improvement initiatives.</li> <li>Support organizational events and cross-functional collaboration as needed.</li> </ul> </div> Supervisory Responsibililties<div> <ul> <li>Directly manage purchasing staff including hiring, onboarding, training, and evaluations.</li> <li>Provide coaching, feedback, and performance improvement plans when necessary.</li> <li>Monitor work quality, productivity, and adherence to department standards.</li> <li>Assign workloads, monitor performance, and foster a collaborative, high-performing team.</li> </ul> </div> Minimum Qualifications<div> <ul> <li>5+ years of experience in purchasing, materials management, or supply chain operations.</li> <li>Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and purchasing systems.</li> <li>Experience managing vendor relationships and procurement processes.</li> </ul> </div> Preferred Qualifications<div> <ul> <li>Experience in healthcare or FQHC environment.</li> <li>Experience with ERP systems (Sage Intacct or similar).</li> <li>Background in finance, operations, or business administration.</li> </ul> </div> Knowledge, Skills & Abilities<div> <ul> <li>Strong understanding of purchasing workflows, inventory management, and vendor negotiations.</li> <li>Ability to work with financial and operational data to support decision-making.</li> <li>Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.</li> <li>Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across departments.</li> <li>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.</li> </ul> </div> \n<div>$110,000 - $120,000 a year</div>\n Benefits That Support You We're committed to supporting our team's well-being.
