We have proven the technology and the business impact to our customers in long-term pilot projects and are preparing to scale-up deployments of our commercial product.   The Opportunity   We are looking for an experienced compliance and certification specialist to join our development team to make our mobile robotic solutions market compliant on a global scale. You will be working closely with our engineering teams to identify risks and design solutions for product-level EMC and safety compliance; this includes design, documentation and marking requirements to satisfy the dependencies for regulatory and commercial conformance. \n Your contributions<ul> <li>Lead electrical, machinery, and functional safety topics and advise engineering teams on compliant system design</li> <li>Develop and maintain product certification for existing and new products, perform risk assessments and implement safety concepts/functions</li> <li>Drive Design for Compliance (DfC) and define design requirements for electrical and mechanical engineers, with early-stage guidance on creepage & clearance, thermal management, material flammability, reliability (FIT), redundancy (HFT), and diagnostic coverage (DC)</li> <li>Define safety concepts and control architectures; determine required PLr and SIL targets from risk assessments</li> <li>Review electrical designs for compliance with IEC 60204-1 and IEC 62368-1</li> <li>Facilitate and document hazard analyses and risk assessments in accordance with ISO 12100</li> <li>Perform and verify reliability calculations (MTTFd, DCavg) to demonstrate compliance with ISO 13849-1 and IEC 62061</li> <li>Mentor engineers and deliver internal training on electrical, machinery, and functional safety</li> <li>Research the regulatory environment and assess influence on product compliance</li> </ul> Your profile<ul> <li>University degree in engineering or science (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or doctorate)</li> <li>Demonstrated experience and knowledge in the certification process of electrical and mechanical products</li> <li>Strong experience in machinery, electrical, and functional safety</li> <li>Experience in certification of explosion-proof equipment (IECEx/ATEX)</li> <li>Ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical engineering solutions</li> <li>Confident communicator with a pragmatic, hands-on mindset</li> <li>Knowledge of International and European standards, regulations, codes and directives as well as solid working knowledge of ISO and IEC standard organisational pratice</li> </ul> Bonus points:<ul> <li>Working knowledge of various country approvals, regulatory marks and homologation processes</li> <li>Experience with safety-relevant software such as SISTEMA or Pascal</li> <li>Experience in approvals for North America for UL and NFPA with standards such as NFPA 79 and UL 508A</li> </ul> \nYou are an engaged personality, used to work proactively and with precision – on your own and in a team – and you are passionate about your work.
