Their mission is to support the high speed growth and international expansion of the business. </span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-size: 11pt;">As a Legal Counsel, your role will be to provide support to our carpool business teams on multiple legal practice areas such as platform regulation, e-commerce, consumer protection and commercial contracts, and marketing legal advice. You will be reporting to the Head of Legal and working with a team of approx. 10 people. </span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-size: 11pt;">This position requires the capacity of working in a fast growing tech company, of developing a high level of understanding of how our product works and of creating close connections with operational teams. Having an appetite for project management is a must.&nbsp;</span></p>\n<p></p><p><br></p><b>Your Responsibilities </b><ul> <li>Be a trusted advisor to the carpool and energy saving certificate business teams in France and other European jurisdictions by providing creative solutions while ensuring compliance with regulations, with a specific focus on our product;</li> <li>Managing any pre-litigations and litigations;</li> <li>Drafting and negotiating all types of contracts (including commercial contracts, partnership agreements, marketing agreements, license agreements, etc);</li> <li>Collaborate with internal partners, and notably government relations team, to respond to requests from regulators;</li> <li>All other matters which arise in the day to day running of an expanding business;</li> <li>Areas of particular relevance include consumer issues, commercial contracts,&nbsp; transportation regulation, e-commerce, digital law.</li> </ul><p><br></p><b>Your Qualifications</b><ul> <li>6 to 8 years of experience as a qualified lawyer from an EU country, with experience in start-ups and new technology companies, either in house or in private practice;</li> <li>Experience &amp; knowledge of Spanish law</li> <li>Knowledge and experience in dealing with a range of commercial issues such as e-commerce, platform regulation and consumer protection;</li> <li>Knowledge and experience dealing with regulatory topics;</li> <li>Comfortable working in various jurisdictions;</li> <li>Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills;</li> <li>Business oriented, creative and solution driven mind-set;</li> <li>Experience creating and managing processes and moving large-scale project forward;</li> <li>Autonomy and sense of initiative;</li> <li>Ability to work fast and meet aggressive deadlines;</li> <li>Flexibility and eagerness to learn new areas of law;</li> <li>You have excellent communication skills, you’re humble, and you enjoy sharing &amp; learning from others;</li> <li>Full working proficiency in French, English and good knowledge of Spanish.&nbsp;</li> <li>Fit with our <a rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://jobs.blablacar.com/working-at-blablacar" class="postings-link">BlaBlaPrinciples</a></li> <li>Nice to have : Experience in the transport industry</li> </ul><p><br></p><b>What we have to offer</b><ul> <li>4 additional weeks on top of legal maternity/paternity leaves</li> <li>50% healthcare coverage (Alan)</li> <li>Financial support for home office equipment</li> <li>Minimum 25 days holiday per year&nbsp;</li> <li>Local meal plan policy (Swile card)</li> <li>50% transportation paid (Forfait Mobilité Durable)</li> <li>Free unlimited carpooling &amp; bus rides</li> <li>Personal growth via trainings, mentorship, and internal mobility programs</li> <li>Employee Stock ownership plan</li> <li>Regular team building events1 day off per year to test our product</li> <li>1 day per year for social engagements with non-profits</li> </ul><p><br></p><b>Interested in joining the ride?</b><ul> <li>a 45-min video-call with one of our Talent Acquisition Managers to get to know you, understand your career expectations and answer your questions</li> <li>a 60-min video-call with our Head of Legal to understand your background and motivations and clarifying the position and expectations</li> <li>a fully remote exercise to evaluate your technical skills, followed by a 60-min video-call to discuss your exercise</li> <li>a 30-min min video-call with our General Counsel for values fit and closing off the process</li> </ul><p><br></p><p></p>\n<p><span style="font-size: 11pt;">Usually, our hiring process lasts on average 20-25 days and offers usually come within 48 hours.</span></p><p><br></p><p><em style="font-size: 16px;">BlaBlaCar is an equal opportunity employer.
