Our mission is to empower financial freedom through technology, offering innovative and transparent digital banking solutions.   Join us in reshaping the financial landscape!  About the role We are looking for a Data Engineer who will be responsible for designing, building, and managing the data architecture, pipelines, and systems that enable data acquisition, storage, processing, and analysis within an organization. The position is available at both our Ioannina and Athens offices. What you'll be doing Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure for ingesting, processing, and storing large volumes of data. Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Build and optimize data models and schemas for efficient storage and retrieval of data. Implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into data warehouses or data lakes. Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure data integrity, reliability, and performance. Evaluate and implement new technologies and tools to enhance data processing capabilities and improve efficiency. Document data pipelines, processes, and solutions to ensure knowledge sharing and maintainability. Work closely with infrastructure and DevOps teams to deploy and manage data systems in cloud environments. Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data engineering and analytics. Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in Computer Science or Electronics or equivalent work experience in the field of Data. Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role (7+ preferred, 3-5 preferred for junior role). Knowledge of SQL, Python, with preferrable knowledge of Azure Data Factory. Excellent interpersonal, listening, negotiation, presentation skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Keen eye on detail. Ability in decision making, problem analysis and problem solving. Excellent organizational skills. Problem solving attitude. Ability to work in fast paced environment. Passionate about agile software processes, data driven development, reliability, and experimentation and experience working in a collaborative Agile product team will be considered as extra assets.
