This is a player-coach role for a proven researcher with a demonstrated track record of generating profitable, scalable equity alpha. Produce differentiated, robust, and scalable equity alpha while contributing directly to live trading P&L. Elevate research quality across the office and help scale the team without diluting standards. Independently originate, validate, and deploy profitable signals while directly generating alpha Improve and refine existing research, driving innovation in modeling, data usage, and signal construction with strict statistical discipline and out-of-sample rigor. Shape thematic priorities and research roadmaps to guide the direction of the platform. Mentor and scale the team by coaching researchers, developing high-potential talent, maintaining a strong hiring bar, and ensuring growth does not compromise alpha quality. BS/MS/PhD degree in a STEM field 5+ experience in systematic equity alpha research Proven record of generating statistically robust and profitable signals Direct contribution to live P&L Deep understanding of signal decay, capacity, risk controls, and overfitting mitigation Strong programming and research infrastructure fluency
