The GRAVEL PIT FOREMAN will be responsible for supervising the operations and leading crews at two remote gravel pit locations in north-central Alberta (Whitecourt / Fox Creek area). Responsibilities include: Supervise the day to day operations of two remote gravel pits Responsible for overseeing wash plant operations Oversee rail car loading operations Oversee preventative maintenance of all mobile and stationary assets Responsible for cost control and quality control of manufactured aggregate materials Organize and lead a team to achieve scheduled production load-out targets, and coordinate maintenance tasks to ensure safety, quality, and environmental compliance Ensuring all site operations are compliant with all safety regulations and project requirements Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the public at all times Requirements Minimum 5 years of experience supervising gravel pit operations Mechanical knowledge Previous experience with transporting goods by rail is an asset Strong problem solving and creative skills with an ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) Strong Leadership Skills Competent using the Microsoft Office suite of products Valid Class 5 Driver’s License Requirement to reside onsite with a consistent schedule. Subsistence will be provided.
