Job Description Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Establishes and maintains accurate Epic work queues to achieve optimal follow-up. Communicates policies and educates staff on billing issues to promote efficient flow of billing process. Counsels patients on financial and other issues regarding accounts management. Advises department managers on collection issues that arise. Handles missing charge ticket list, locating missing ticket and generating another ticket if needed. Monitors and updates monthly collection totals in department. Advises affected areas on diagnoses, prices and charges for special batches. Participates in selection process of new employees, training, supervising and evaluating employees; informs employees of changes in the department. Assists with coverage in staff areas during illness/vacations; back-up for HMO/PPO Representative. Assists IBC team with special projects.
