Scheduled Hours 37.5 Position Summary WashU's Division of Student Affairs seeks an athletic training professional for the position of Assistant Athletic Trainer. The Division of Student Affairs advances the educational mission of the university through resources and experiences outside the classroom that prepare our students for lifelong success. The Assistant Athletic Trainer serves as the primary medical care provider for injuries sustained to student-athletes in the WashU Athletic Department program. This is a 10-month full-time position, reporting to work during the months of August through May. The successful candidate can choose to be paid over ten months (Aug-May) or have their ten months of compensation spread across the full twelve months of the academic year. Job Description Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Prevention, evaluation, treatment, referral and rehabilitation of athletic injuries and illnesses to WashU student-athletes. Assists in the teaching and instruction of the athletic training class. Assists in organizing and conducting the in-service program for athletic training students. Assists in the supervision of students employed in the athletic training program. Manages the computer storage of the electronic medical records. Works in conjunction with colleagues in athletic training and strength and conditioning to address injury issues. Other duties as assigned. Salary Range: Base pay is commensurate with experience. Working Conditions/Schedule: Occasional lifting of water coolers weighing 60 pounds is necessary. Travel with sports to away competitions with an overnight stay is required ten to twelve times/year.
