Job Description Summary We’re looking for an EHS Leader to join our Cheltenham Campus team and help us keep our people safe, our workplace compliant, and our culture continuously improving. In this role, you’ll lead the site EHS function for a 55-acre manufacturing site with 1,800+ employees , manage and coach a team of EHS professionals, and ensure we meet regulatory requirements and GE Aerospace policies. You’ll work closely with leaders across operations, engineering, facilities and other teams to strengthen safety culture, improve EHS processes, and drive operational excellence. You’ll also bring in industry best practices and emerging trends to keep raising the bar on EHS performance and alignment with our site and business goals. Job Description Key Responsibilities Manage the EHS Team, providing mentorship and leadership to foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration. Work closely with site leadership, operations and engineering teams to identify, address, and resolve EHS issues, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Fostering a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement mindset. Take ownership of the GE EHS Framework Management System, ensuring its effective implementation and integration into site operations. Develop, lead, and execute site-level risk reduction initiatives to mitigate hazards and improve overall safety performance. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements relating to occupational health and safety, and environmental (air, waste and water). Manage EHS incidents effectively, including investigation, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and reporting. Embrace GE Aerospace lean system (FLIGHT DECK) to continue driving transformational improvements across EHS Required Qualifications and Experience NEBOSH Diploma, or equivalent (or working towards) Significant EHS experience Professional certifications (e.g., CertIOSH) Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with proven ability to influence across functions Demonstrated ability to lead programs/projects and deliver measurable results Desired Characteristics Previous experience in managing environmental permits (i.e. emissions) Experience with ISO 45001/14001 or similar management systems; internal auditor experience Contractor management and construction safety (e.g., CDM in UK, local equivalents) Strong oral and written communication skills.
