In support of the country, strategies will be developed to account for the dynamics and growth across India with the focus on delivering a best-in-class solution to all areas of the business. The role will directly interface with operations, real estate, finance, planning, supply chain, and field personnel. The individual will lead both existing and new transformational projects/implementations across both logistics and warehousing in India. It will lead a team of 1 and will report to the Director of APAC Logistics and Warehousing. On a typical day you will:   Provide logistics leadership for the India CLC and field with spend ~ $18M+, including distribution/warehousing. Monitor applicable KPIs to track the health of the logistics ecosystem. Stay current on industry topics and emerging trends, through participation in industry organizations to understand best practices. Execute regional transportation strategies aligned with global and regional strategy to optimize total cost, capacity, quality, visibility, sustainability, safety, and compliance across all modes. Implementation the necessary logistics technologies (TMS, FBAP, WMS) via strategic partnerships with logistics solutions providers of end-to-end solutions. Ensure execution of logistics, distribution and warehousing strategies for new equipment, modernization, and spare parts at the CLC and field levels. Develop logistics savings and performance targets across transportation and distribution sub-categories regionally/locally.   Ensure execution of best-in-class RFQs and lead negotiations and master services agreement developments. Conduct regular business reviews and establish continuous improvement and mitigation plans for all strategic logistics and warehouse partners. Provide robust category reporting / business intelligence cadence for use by local and global logistics team, senior management, regional & local supply chain management, sales/marketing, finance, and major project teams. Proactively advise the organization on emerging issues. What You Will Need to be Successful:   BA/BS degree in supply or logistics with 14+ years’ experience in the India/APAC Region, Travel: 10%-20% (Primarily intra-India) Demonstrated experience managing logistics operations and spend, including executing transformational strategies, developing processes, managing suppliers, and driving compliance, savings, and process efficiency in India with focus on delivering long term strategy. Demonstrated strong understanding of pricing models, KPIs and contracts across all modes (LTL, FTL, Fleet, IML, Ocean, Air and parcel). Proven ability to lead cross functionally, understanding cross functional business requirements as well as motivating in a matrixed organization. Strong experience working / managing 3PLs and 4PLs including bidding, negotiation, and contract development with favorable terms and SLAs. Proven ability to apply independent business judgment and demonstrate influence to drive strategy and achieve results. Excellent analytical skills, ability to lead data analysis and resolution of complex problems where success requires the evaluation of both tangible and intangible variables. Ability to communicate with multifunctional stakeholders including supply chain managers, leadership, and suppliers, and excellent listening and influencing skills Understanding of SIOP processes.
