Staff Nurse - RN - Behavioral Health In-Patient - The Horizon Program - 4 North - Nights In this role you will be working on a 24-bed inpatient. This program provides patients who wish to live a traditional Orthodox Jewish life, an environment where they can be treated in respect to their faith.  Patients have a wide range of diagnoses including depression, psychotic disorders, personality disorders and others. The unit offers a full schedule of educational, therapeutic, and recreational groups, with appropriate gender separation for certain activities, and incorporates time for daily religious observance. Program adjustments are made for Sabbath and special holidays, and flexible visiting hours are accommodated. Staff members have received specialized training regarding cultural sensitivity, religious rituals and requirements, and patient expectations. Kosher dietary restrictions are strictly followed in the dining room and throughout the unit at all times. This is a fulltime 3X12hour and bi-weekly 8 hours shift including rotational weekend (Sat & Sun) position at the New York Presbyterian Hospital Westchester Behavioral Health. Preferred Criteria At least one year of RN experience and/or capstone or a senior clinical rotation with a preceptor Nursing Certification/s Required Criteria Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Current New York State RN license (or willingness to obtain) BCLS certification New Grad Residency Program completion Knowledge of nursing process: social, behavioral, biological and physical science and current health care environment Knowledge of customer service principles & effective interpersonal communication skills Knowledge of use of computer applications Ability to analyze patient care data to deliver and evaluate care Join a healthcare system where employee engagement is at an all-time high.
